Advanced Check-in Service
When customers are running late for a Korean domestic departure, or when they are in First Class Lounge with no baggage, just call the Asiana check-in counter and we will.
Downtown Check-in
At the Korea City Air Terminal located adjacent to the Korea Trade Center in southern Seoul, passengers are able to check-in for flights and pass through immigration without having to go to the Kimpo Airport. This service works exceptionally well for customers who want to check-in early in the morning and spend the rest of the day in downtown Seoul. Additionally, a shuttle bus is available at a nominal charge. Customers traveling to domestic destinations are encouraged to check-in 1 hour and 30 minutes prior the scheduled departure time and 2 hours and 30 minutes for international flights.
Priority Check-in
Priority check-in counters are available for first and business class travelers and elite members of Asiana Club. Additionally, express counters are available for customers with no baggage to check.
Services for the Handicapped
At Asiana, our reputation is based on how we fulfill the individual needs of our customers. We realize that handicapped passengers require special care and preparation. Our service professionals are trained to quickly identify and support these individuals in a caring, sincere, and professional manner.

Many ground staff and flight attendants have been trained and are currently being trained in sign language. Special counters at each airport are clearly identified in order to support these customers. Special seating in the aircraft may be available upon request.

Moreover, Asiana offers a membership program, 'Hansarang Membership' for handicapped customers that includes special discounts and services to Hansarang members. Additionally, we offer information cards and membership cards written in Braille for the blind.

Family Services
Young and old customers alike, even if they speak no foreign languages need not be worried when they fly alone. From the moment they arrive at the airport till they meet their family members at the destination airport, they are being taken care of, whether it be check-in, immigration, transit, baggage handling, or duty free shopping. We at Asiana treat our customers like family and it shows.
Passengers Traveling With Infants.
Asiana offers a bassinet service on all routes to passengers traveling with infants between the ages of 15 days to 6 months. Infants will be charged 10% of the adult fare on international flights and travel free of charge on domestic flights. No seats will be allocated to infants.

The dimensions of the bassinet are 81L x 34W x 22H (cm). Bassinets can support a maximum weight of 14kg and are for infants under 76cm tall. Infants who are less than 6 months or under the age of 2 shall sit on their parents' seat for safety due to size limitations of the bassinet. Bassinets are available onboard on a first-come, first-served basis. As there are a limited number of bassinets onboard, we recommend that you request a bassinet upon booking your flight.
US-VISIT Upon Departure
US-VISIT is a continuum of security measures that begin overseas, at the Department of State's visa-issuing posts, and continue through arrival and departure from the United States. Using biometrics such as digital, inkless fingerscans and digital photographs, the identity of visitors requiring a visa to travel to the U.S. is now verified at each step to ensure that the person crossing our border is the same person who received the visa, and to ensure that they do not overstay the terms of their admission. For travelers, the process is fast and simple and the biometrics help secure their identity in the event their travel documents are lost or stolen.

As part of US-VISIT, most visitors who require a visa will eventually need to verify their departure.

The US-VISIT system is designed to make this check-out process easy, and involves a test of automated self-service workstations and other alternatives in the international departure areas of airports and seaports. By scanning travel documents and capturing fingerscans on the same inkless device, the system validates the visitor¡¯s identity, verifies departure, and confirms compliance with U.S. immigration policy.

Compliance with these new security procedures is critical because the exit information will also be added to the individual's travel record to record their status for future visits to the United States. (www.dhs.gov/us-visit)
