More World - Class Carriers Join STAR ALLIANCE Network

There’s no better way to get around the world than with the Star Alliance network of carriers. Now, two world-class airlines - South African Airways (Eff. April 10, 2006) and SWISS (Eff. April 1, 2006), have expanded the network even more.

Operating one of the world’s youngest fleets, South African Airways is a dynamic carrier with an extensive network across South Africa and sub - saharan Africa. From its hub in Johannesburg, South African Airways connects the subcontinent to 26 countries around the world.

SWISS flies to 69 destinations in 42 countries worldwide and is among the world’s most highly regarded airlines. Every time you fly, you can expect a level of quality, reliability and hospitality that is typically Swiss.

With the two newest members, the Star Alliance network offers a choice of 18 airlines with connecting schedules to 846 global destinations, offering members even more ways to earn and redeem miles.
